Modules 5 and 6 Dakota-City

dakota 5 6dakotaa 5 6 2Fig. 1 - Also in the "main workshop" at Andy's it goes on strongly! The tracks on modules 5 and 6 are laid. Since the shunting / sidings are partly longer than 10m, we have decided to an "intermediate attack". The shunting tracks 2 - 5 are connected by a track yard on both sides. Only track 1 remains without a switch connection. Here, very long trains (coal etc.) but also 2 copmplete passenger trains can be parked. The loading sidings of the sidings already lead from track 5. Left in front of the sidings are the two main tracks. In the outer track a stabling track for complete train sets is connected. This track is outside the module boxes and can be removed. Next to the ECOS is the programming track. Now follows the worst part! Electric.

Fig. 2 - Here is an overview of the "Ricos Woodland" wood dealer. The "Stapelhaeuser" are from a kit from Walthers, built and weathered by Bernd. The log cabins are from Faller and were built by Andy. The name of the company? Our friend Rico is our wood procurer and module builder. Now he has his own company in IOWA. For Beans good. Wood and wood cutting at cost price!

dakota 5 6 24dakotaa 5 6 7Fig 7 - The week at Andy's was used to technically complete the next two modules of the Dacota side. So, 17 servos installed and wired to the switch pilot. Install soft switches in the side panels and wire them. Then program to the switchpilot and check everything. Well, of course, also wire up lots of track and light power connections. A sh...job! But it was worth it. Everything works..now switching is even more fun. Already because of the 2 new loading points!

Fig. 8 - Here you can already guess which switching possibilities now arise. In addition to the 2 new loading points is now also an "intermediate attack" incl. bypass possible! Andy, Frank and Harry have meanwhile added the missing ties and provided all rails with rust paint ... The painting is also something for someone who wants to go to the lunatic asylum! Very fine brush and very careful! Now gravel the whole thing..still a few small things on the edge and then up with the modules to the beautiful Baltic Sea! Landscaping! Frank comes on November the 17th on business to the Baltic Sea.

Fig. 9 - Frank has now delivered the two modules to the Baltic Sea. As a reward there was a tasty beer and a ride with the Rocomaus.

Fig. 10 - On the edges and between the rails, the first two green applications are finished. Unfortunately, progress is slow. In the garage are 4 C plus. Outside 10 C minus. Drying time 3 days, if at all. But, it will be alright.
