Modules 7, 8, 9 and 10 Dakota City

Fig. 1 - Module 7 on the Dacota City side is ballasted. The track bed is "dyed in". Here, the weathering of the tracks, which is to be applied by air break, is still missing. The track gaps have been filled.

Fig. 2 - The module accommodates a large cold storage. The loading and unloading of the refrigerated cars takes place protected inside the cold store. Depending on the length of the refrigerator cars, there is room for 4 - 5 vehicles on the loading track. On a second track in front of the cold store more refrigerator cars can be parked. The terrain around the cold store has received its first terrain order. The construction of the cold store can be found under the button Plant Construction/Building etc.

Fig. 1 - Module 8 on the Dakota City side is in the same state of construction as Module 7. A Ford car factory will be built here. The shell is well advanced, but cannot be shown here yet. The buildings and loading facilities will extend well into the following Module 9. The last module 10 (diesel store) is almost finished. The final module, as in Lotzburgh, is a tunnel that accommodates the Dakota City underground station. Tunnel, platforms and the wall closures of the module are finished. Photos will follow.

Fig. 3 - The car loading facility with its 2 levels. Next to it a small administration building and another factory building with a storage building. Behind it there is another loading ramp where vehicle parts can be unloaded from the big boxcars. Except for the older warehouse façade (Cornerstone), all other buildings were built as a self-contained structure.

Fig. 5 - At the left end of the factory there is another small storage annex with ramp, for loading and unloading of construction and spare parts.

Fig. 1 - THE module 9 on the Dakota City side accommodates the main part of the diesel shop. It is terminated at the end by the tunnel that takes up the double-track main line with the platform and another track connecting the store and the yard. This track is also completely transferred to the Lotzburgh side. Here, the tunnel and the adjoining brickwork are finished. Above the tunnel on the "turnaround module", a district of Dakota City is being built with the station, which can be seen here in its shell. The platform tracks are reached by escalators. The almost finished building in front of the walls is a workshop building. To the left of it, the large locomotive shed is being built in, along with the treatment facilities. Dr locomotive shed is in the finishing stage.
